Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage day-to-day activities at construction sites, ensuring work progresses according to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to effectively communicate project requirements and resolve any technical issues that may arise.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all site personnel.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to construction standards, addressing any deviations or deficiencies promptly.
• Manage site resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, optimising their utilisation to achieve project milestones efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily progress reports, material quantities, and labor hours for reporting and documentation purposes.
• Foster a positive team environment, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to site personnel to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and regulatory authorities, to address project related concerns and maintain effective communication channels.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks or issues that may impact project delivery, implementing corrective measures as necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Civil Site Supervisor Sydney Civil construction industry.
• Experienced in setout, including establishing grid lines and benchmark points, and effectively liaising with site surveyors.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and relevant regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and motivate site personnel.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Sound understanding of safety protocols and the ability to enforce compliance on-site.
• Detail oriented with strong problem solving and decision making abilities.
• Proven ability to manage resources effectively and optimise project schedules.
• Familiarity with construction software and tools for project management and reporting.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
