Structural Engineer (Forensic Investigations and Remediation)

About you:

Are you an experienced Structural Engineer with experience in the Australian Building Industry ?

Do you have a passion for forensic investigations and remediation of existing structures?

We are seeking a talented individual to join our clients team and contribute through assessing and repairing structures. This is a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects and make a significant impact in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough site inspections and forensic investigations across various project types.
• Undertake condition assessments and diagnostic testing on a wide range of structures, including cladding, reinforced concrete, steel, and timber structures.
• Prepare comprehensive condition assessment reports and repair specifications for structures.
• Perform structural analysis, design and documentation reviews, and verifications.
• Provide forensic investigations and defective assessments.
• Deliver repair engineering services.
• Develop and enhance the group’s proficiency in condition assessment and remediation of existing structures.
• Conduct building condition assessments, water penetration reports, cracking reports, and defect assessments.
• Prepare dilapidation reports.
• Manage and oversee remedial projects, including site inspections, measure ups, documentation and reporting, site engineering, and financial aspects such as project finances, variations, EOT’s (Extension of Time), and RFI’s (Request for Information).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Strong background in conducting site inspections and forensic investigations.
• Extensive experience in condition assessment and diagnostic testing of various structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis, design, and documentation reviews.
• Excellent knowledge of repair engineering and defect assessment principles.
• Proven track record in managing and delivering remedial projects.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and report writing abilities..
